The Chat Interface
Understanding the PumpCord interface will help you navigate and chat more effectively.
Layout Overview
The PumpCord interface is divided into three main sections:
On the left side, you'll see:
General Chat - The default general discussion room
Favorites ⭐ - Rooms you've favorited (quick access)
Joined Rooms - All rooms you're a member of
Create Room button - Start a new room for a token
2. Center - Chat Window
The main chat area shows:
Room Header - Token name, Ticker
Message List - All chat messages in chronological order
Input Box - Where you type your messages
Action Buttons - Giphy, emoji picker, send button
On the right side, you'll see:
Token Information - Name, ticker, social links
Room Members - List of users currently in the room
Community Features - Polls, giveaways, community fund
Room Actions - Favorite, leave room, etc.
Message Display
Each message shows:
Avatar - User's profile (if available)
Username - The user's chosen username
Timestamp - When the message was sent
Content - The message text
Actions - Reply, react, delete (if you're owner/mod)
The message input box includes:
Text Area - Type your message here
Character Counter - Shows remaining characters (2000 max)
Gif Button 🎬 - Open Giphy picker
Emoji Button 😀 - Open emoji picker
Send Button - Send your message
Navigation Tips
Click a room in the left sidebar to switch rooms
Scroll up in the chat to load older messages
Click a username to see user info (if available)
Click a message to reply to it
Hover over messages to see action buttons
On mobile devices, the layout adapts:
Sidebars may collapse into menus
Tap the menu icon to access room list
Swipe gestures for navigation
Keyboard Shortcuts
@ - Start typing to mention a user
Esc - Close modals/pickers
